As you might expect for people that work at a podcasting company, we listen to a lot of podcasts. Here are a few from February.
Caitlin Van Horn, Marketing Manager
I spent a lot of time this month prepping for our panels at On Air Fest–which meant researching our panelists, and listening to their show! While I'm already on the record as a Penumbra fan, I also got to listen to:
Janus Descending: I definitely made the mistake of listening to the first few episodes of Janus Descending while working alone in a very dark office. If you like sci fi, horror, space, and being terrified of your own reflection in a glass conference room wall, have I got the podcast for you!
Greater Boston: Did I expect to completely empathize with a man who decided to, quite literally, nope out of his own life rather than ride a rollercoaster? Not really, no–for one thing, I love rollercoasters. But the characters in this audio drama are such a delight to listen to that I couldn't help it.
36 Questions: I'm don't really know a ton about musicals and Broadway, so imagine my surprise when not only did I slam through 36 Questions in one night, but put most of the score into my February playlist. When I texted a friend (who LOVES musicals) to let her know what I was listening to, she responded with "It's PERFECT." She's not wrong!
Espree Devora, Director of Customer Experience
Making Sense with Sam Harris: Sam Harris—neuroscientist, philosopher, and best-selling author— explores important and controversial questions about the human mind, society, and current events. Sam Harris is the author of The End of Faith, Letter to a Christian Nation, The Moral Landscape, Free Will, Lying, Waking Up, and Islam and the Future of Tolerance (with Maajid Nawaz). The End of Faith won the 2005 PEN Award for Nonfiction. His writing has been published in more than 20 languages.

I am enjoying Creative Pep Talk by Andy J. ‘Pizza’. Andy is a bigger-than-life personality and a talented illustrator. The podcast tackles the challenges of creativity and business and is entertaining, informative, and inspirational. Well done.
Sarah Frisk, Senior Front-End Developer
I've been getting into Off Book: The Improvised Musical lately [Ed. note: lots of musical podcasts in February! -CVH] My mom was a music teacher so musicals were a big part of my childhood, but I found out about these guys on a YouTube recommended video. They totally make up a musical as they go along, with funny results.
Matt Rubin, Head of Product
I’m listening to Slow Burn, from Slate. I never knew that much about the Clinton scandals and all that went on during his administration–I was in middle school, so how complex it all was wasn't top-of-mind for me. Listening to Leon Neyfakh bring up the stranger subplots has been super interesting.
