From daily episodes to a community of 200K+, 365 con Dios shows how meaningful storytelling and listener trust can fuel sustainable podcast growth.
What started during the pandemic as a way to help people deepen their relationship with God has grown into a community of more than 200,000 people. In 2021, Christian author, psychologist, Bible teacher, and independent podcast creator Wenddy Neciosup launched 365 con Dios to share daily Bible readings, teachings, and practical reflections. What began as a way to inspire spiritual growth has since exceeded her expectations, reaching listeners across countries and backgrounds who share a desire to grow in their faith.
Consistency over perfection
As an independent creator, Neciosup personally researches, writes, records, and produces her daily episodes for about three to four hours a day, maintaining a consistent publishing schedule since launching the podcast in 2021. That consistency has become an important part of the relationship she has built with her listeners.
“They know that every day, there will be a new episode waiting for them,” Neciosup said.
Her connection with listeners extends far beyond downloads. The heart of the show is rooted in Biblical teachings. And because of that, listeners write to Neciosup about what they are going through, send prayer requests, share testimonies, and tell her when an episode reached them at exactly the right moment. She has also watched members of the community begin to encourage and pray for one another.
The experience has taught Neciosup that consistently delivering something valuable matters more than creating something perfect.
“People come back because of the value they receive and because of the connection they build with you.”
Growing through connection
While social media has played a big role in growing and introducing 365 con Dios to new audiences, word of mouth has played an especially important role in its growth. Listeners regularly recommend the show to friends and family, turning personal connections into opportunities for new people to discover the show.
“When someone says, ‘Listen to this episode, I think you need to hear it,’ the podcast stops being just content and becomes a trusted recommendation.”
That personal connection also shapes the way Neciosup thinks about influence and success in podcasting. As listeners return over months and years, they become familiar with a host’s voice, which creates a level of trust that few other media formats can offer.
“Behind every statistic there is a person. One download can represent someone crying in their car, someone waiting for an answer in a hospital, or someone beginning their day needing hope.”
Putting trust first in monetization
Neciosup focused on building her content and community before considering monetization. She recognized that monetization could help cover the costs of consistently producing high-quality content and support the continued growth of the podcast.
“We built trust first, and then we began thinking about monetization.”
With Simplecast, Neciosup found a solution that was simple to manage and allowed her to remain selective about the brands and products she introduced to her audience.
As the commercial side of 365 con Dios has grown, Neciosup continues to look beyond revenue alone. She considers audience growth, downloads, listener retention, campaign response, and advertiser opportunities when evaluating the overall health of the podcast.
Through it all, she follows a simple rule: The content comes first.
“Monetization should serve the content. The content should never end up serving the monetization.”
What's next for 365 con Dios?
Neciosup is continuing to expand the daily format of 365 con Dios. This year, she is reading through the Bible with listeners each day and has introduced a new section that takes a promise from the day’s reading and explores how listeners can apply it to everyday life.
She hopes to grow the community internationally and create more opportunities for people to engage with what they hear through writing, prayer, reflection, and application.
Even after hundreds of episodes, Neciosup continues to think about each new listener discovering 365 con Dios for the first time.
“For me, it may be episode 600. For someone who just found us, it is still episode number one.”
