Videos are quickly becoming the best format for driving engagement and sharing content on social media. They’re dynamic, intriguing, and produce some pretty stellar results. In fact, 78% of people prefer to learn about new products through short-form video content.
Creating Video Asset can be Challenging
With platforms like TikTok and YouTube promoting visual content and ad consumption preferences soaring on social media, the urgency to produce compelling visual assets that market your show is high. Video assets are crucial for discoverability, and can boost audience growth and reach. Without the right tools, many small podcasters are struggling to maximize this opportunity.
For independent or even small podcast publishers, creating your own video content comes with its own set of challenges. Large media networks have dedicated teams that handle most of the behind the scenes work, but smaller creators often have to wear multiple hats—host, editor, producer, and marketer—all while juggling consistent and well executed content. Producing engaging video clips requires extra time, technical skills, and a whole lot of dedication that some people may not have the knowledge or time to commit to, which can be overwhelming and, not to mention, exhausting.

Still need convincing that this Headliner integration is the promotional tool you’ve been waiting for? Check out this testimonial:
“Headliner has been a game changer for saving time and staying on top of new show content. Previously, creating video promo assets meant submitting requests into our design pipeline, which limited our ability to produce quick-turn content. Now, we can simply log into our Simplecast account, choose the show we want to feature, and create a professional-looking video that’s ready to share on social media in minutes.” - Gabi McGarvey, Pass the Mic podcast team
Using Headliner in Simplecast
Head over to the “episodes” tab in your Simplecast account. Next, click on the episode you’d like to promote. In the “promote” section, click on the button that says “Go to Headliner”. If you don’t already have a Headliner account, you’ll be prompted to make one in a few easy steps.
Once you're set up and ready to roll, trim the audio clip to highlight the section you want to use in your asset.
After you’ve identified the perfect snippet of audio, you’re free to choose from the built-in templates or even upload your own images. Once you choose the style, you can customize your asset further with colors, audio waves, and text. To unlock even more customization tools, you’ll need a Pro account.
